Request deletion of your workspace

Ask Sydnee to review deletion of a workspace and its data, or cancel a pending request.

The workspace owner can request deletion of the workspace and its data from Company Settings → Security → Workspace data. Sydnee's team reviews the request before deletion. Admins and team members can ask the owner for help.

Your data stays in place when you send the request.

Before you start

Deleted data cannot be restored. Deleting a workspace removes its data. Sydnee reviews the request first. Save the work your team and clients need before you submit. If you change your mind while the request is pending, select Cancel request.

If you only want to stop a paid plan, use Billing. Plan cancellation and workspace deletion are separate choices.

Sign in as the workspace owner and check that you have selected the right company. Have your current password ready. If MFA is on, you also need a current six-digit authenticator code. Backup codes do not work in this form.

Submit your request

  1. Open Company Settings → Security.
  2. Open Workspace data. Save or discard any pending security changes first.
  3. Find Danger zone → Delete workspace.
  4. Select Request deletion.
  5. Type the workspace name exactly as shown in the dialog.
  6. Enter your current password.
  7. If shown, enter your Authenticator code.
  8. Check the box to ask Sydnee's admin team to process the request.
  9. Select Submit deletion request.

Check or cancel a pending request

Return to Company Settings → Security → Workspace data. The section changes to Deletion request.

Deletion requested and Request reviewed mean the request is with the team. Your data has not been deleted. Request on hold means the team will contact you about the next steps.

Allow a few days for the team to review it. Your data stays in place while Sydnee reviews the request.

To stop a pending request, select Cancel request. Wait for it to clear. If this fails, try again. Contact support if it stays pending.

What your team and clients see

Workspace data stays in place while the team checks your request. Deleting a workspace removes its client work too. Tell your team and clients before you request it, and arrange another place for work they still need.

The request is separate from deleting your own user account.

Fix a request that did not submit

  • Workspace data is missing: check that you are the owner of the selected workspace.
  • Check your password and authenticator code: enter your current password and the latest code from your app.
  • Too many verification attempts: wait 15 minutes before trying again.
  • Your request or permissions changed: close the dialog and reload the page. Check for a saved request before you try again.
  • Your previous request was declined: contact support for details.

Never send your password or MFA codes to support.
