Understand trial, billing, and workspace access

Understand the five-day free trial, owner-only billing, plan usage, and access after a trial or plan ends.

New workspaces get a five-day free trial. No credit card is needed. The workspace owner manages the plan and billing. Admins can view use, but they cannot change the plan.

How the free trial works

The trial lasts five full days from its start time. The Plans and Usage pages show the exact end date and time.

You can build and test the core portal during the free trial. Public API access becomes available after you choose a plan and add a payment method.

With less than 24 hours left, Sydnee says Less than 24 hours left. Sydnee keeps the trial countdown consistent across devices. The exact end date and time shown on the Plans and Usage pages determine when access changes.

Choose a paid plan

  1. Sign in as the workspace owner.
  2. Open Company Settings → Plans.
  3. Compare the current Core, Growth, and Power Team options shown for the workspace.
  4. Choose monthly or annual billing.
  5. Review the amount and plan limits before opening secure checkout.

Prices and plan limits can change. Check the live pricing page and the Plans page before you buy. Review client accounts, file space, team seats, and plan tools.

If the owner subscribes near the end of the free trial, Sydnee may explain that the paid plan will start and be charged today. Choose Keep Free Trial to leave checkout without starting the paid plan, or confirm the charged-today action.

Review workspace usage

Owners and admins can open Company Settings → Usage. The page title is Usage. It shows client accounts, team seats, and file storage. If a lower plan cannot hold the current use, its action shows Usage too high. Reduce the listed use or choose a plan that fits.

What happens when the trial ends?

At the end time, normal access stops. This covers the team app, portal, mobile app, alerts, and workspace content. The owner can still open the billing and security pages needed to choose a plan or protect the account.

Billing recovery is available to the workspace owner. Ask the owner to sign in and open Company Settings → Plans.

An expired trial may appear as a locked workspace or a payment-required message. The owner can choose a plan from Company Settings → Plans to restore access.

What happens if a plan ends?

If a plan is canceled or otherwise ends, normal workspace access stops. The workspace owner can still open the billing and security pages needed to restore access.

The owner can follow the billing steps shown in Sydnee or contact support. Support can explain the account's billing status, but only the workspace owner can manage the plan.

Why is my workspace locked?

  • The five-day free trial ended.
  • The plan was canceled or otherwise ended.
  • Sydnee could not confirm an active trial or plan.
  • You are an admin or member, but only the owner has recovery access.

Ask the owner to open Plans. If the owner is also blocked from the recovery page, send support the workspace name, owner email, visible error, and time. Never send card details or passwords in chat.
