Set company details, branding, and portal domain
Add your company details, logos, portal colors, Sydnee subdomain, and custom domain.
Owners and admins can set one company identity for the whole client portal. A custom domain and other white-label tools depend on the workspace plan.
Add your company details
- Open Company Settings → Company Info.
- Enter the company name, website, phone number, and workspace time zone.
- Select Save.
The company name and website can appear in the portal footer. The workspace time zone is used by supported company-wide schedules and dates.
Add your logos
- Open Company Settings → Branding.
- Add a Header Logo for the portal navigation.
- Add a square 1x1 Logo for browser tabs and bookmarks.
- Save each upload.
Use a clear, square image for the 1x1 Logo. Sydnee warns about a small image, but the warning does not block the upload. Browsers and devices may crop the image in different ways.
Change portal colors
Portal colors are edited from a client account, not the Brand Logos page.
- Open a client account.
- Open the account branding editor.
- Pick a color template or set the main brand color, header text color, and two-color hero background.
- Check the preview.
- Select Publish Changes.
These colors are shared across the workspace portal. A client account's own logo is separate from the workspace header logo.
Change your Sydnee subdomain
- Open Company Settings → Domain. The page title is Portal Domain.
- Open Sydnee subdomain.
- Enter an available name using lowercase letters and numbers. It must be more than three characters long.
- Select Save & Update.
The new address uses the form yourname.sydnee.app. Test saved portal links after the change.
Connect a custom portal domain
Use a domain you own. A dedicated subdomain such as portal.example.com is the simplest choice, but an apex domain can also be accepted.
- Open Company Settings → Domain. The page title is Portal Domain.
- Open Connect a custom domain.
- Enter the full host name without
https://or a path. - Add the DNS record Sydnee shows. A subdomain normally uses a CNAME record. An apex domain normally uses an A record.
- If Sydnee asks you to prove ownership, add the shown TXT record and select Verify TXT record.
- Return to the domain page until the custom domain shows as configured.
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to reach every network. A security certificate is prepared when the portal is visited, so the first visit may take longer.
Why is my domain not verified?
- Make sure the host name has no
https://, slash, or page path. - Copy the DNS name and value exactly as Sydnee shows them.
- Remove a conflicting record for the same host.
- Wait for DNS to update, then try verification again.
- Confirm the domain is not already connected to another workspace.
Do not remove the working Sydnee subdomain while you troubleshoot. If the custom domain still does not verify after 24 hours, contact support with the domain and a screenshot of the DNS records. Do not send your domain-provider password.
What your client sees
Clients see the saved company identity at the portal address they use. Branding changes the portal's look. It does not change a client's account access or permissions.
