Request deletion of your user account
Submit a request to delete your personal Sydnee login, check its status, or cancel a pending request.
You can ask Sydnee to delete your personal user account from Personal Settings → Security & access. This is your team login, separate from a client account or workspace.
Sydnee's team checks the request first. Your data stays in place when you send it.
Before you start
Deleted data cannot be restored. Save anything you need first. If you want to keep your account while the request is pending, use Cancel request.
Sign in with your own team login. Have your current password ready. If MFA is on, you also need a current six-digit authenticator code. Backup codes do not work in this form.
Sydnee reviews shared workspace data separately to protect other people's work. To remove a whole workspace, its owner can request workspace deletion.
Submit your request
- Open Personal Settings → Security & access.
- Find Danger zone → Delete user account.
- Select Request deletion.
- Type your email address exactly as shown in the dialog.
- Enter your current password.
- If shown, enter your Authenticator code.
- Check the box to ask Sydnee's admin team to process the request.
- Select Submit deletion request.
Check or cancel a pending request
Return to Personal Settings → Security & access. The section changes to Deletion request and shows the request's status.
Deletion requested and Request reviewed mean the request is with the team. Your data has not been deleted. Request on hold means the team will contact you about the next steps.
Allow a few days for the team to review it. Your data stays in place while Sydnee reviews the request.
To stop a pending request, select Cancel request. Wait for it to clear. If this fails, try again. Contact support if it stays pending.
What happens to client work?
Shared work stays in place when you send your request. This does not delete a client account or ask to delete a workspace. Your clients do not see your Personal Settings.
Fix a request that did not submit
- Check your password and authenticator code: enter your current password and the latest code from your app.
- Too many verification attempts: wait 15 minutes before trying again.
- Your request or permissions changed: close the dialog and reload the page. Check for a saved request before you try again.
- Your previous request was declined: contact support for details.
If you lost your authenticator, use the MFA recovery guide. Never send your password or codes to support.
