Add Google Analytics and HubSpot tracking

Add or remove GA4 and HubSpot tracking on signed-in client portal pages.

Portal tracking is in Beta. Only owners and admins can set it. It runs on signed-in client portal pages. It does not run in the team app.

Check the privacy rules that apply to your company first. Tell clients what you track. Ask for consent when the rules say you must. Your company owns its Google and HubSpot setup.

Add Google Analytics 4

  1. Open Company Settings → Tracking.
  2. Find Google Analytics.
  3. Enter the GA Measurement ID from your GA4 web data stream. It starts with G-.
  4. Select Save.

Sydnee changes letters to uppercase. A valid value shows as set up on the page.

GA4 gets portal page views through this ID. Use GA4 to manage its reports, data rules, and other settings.

Add HubSpot tracking

  1. Open Company Settings → Tracking.
  2. Find HubSpot.
  3. In HubSpot Tracking Code, enter the numeric HubSpot portal ID, such as 342926471.
  4. Select Save.

The field needs the number for the HubSpot portal. Do not paste a script or web address. When a client signs in, Sydnee sends the client's email to HubSpot. It also sends portal page views and route changes.

Sydnee's tracking calls do not add Live Chat message bodies, file contents, request answers, or task comments. Google and HubSpot scripts may still collect normal web details such as the page address, browser, device, referrer, and cookies. What they collect also depends on your settings with that provider.

Remove tracking

Clear the GA4 or HubSpot field and select Save. That provider's script stops loading from the portal after the saved setting reaches the client page.

Removing the ID from Sydnee does not delete data already stored by Google or HubSpot.

Why is my ID invalid?

  • A GA4 ID must start with G- and use letters or numbers after the dash.
  • A HubSpot portal ID must contain numbers only.
  • Do not paste the whole provider script, HTML, quotes, or a web address.
  • Remove spaces before or after the value.

If the page says the setting is configured but the provider shows no activity, visit the signed-in client portal, move between two portal pages, and check the provider again after its normal processing delay. Browser privacy tools can block third-party tracking.

What your client sees

The tools do not add a dashboard to Sydnee. Clients use the same portal. Review the data shown in Google or HubSpot and the provider settings you turned on.
