Publish final work with Deliverables
Present a finished folder to clients, share it by email, and manage what happens next.
A Deliverable gives clients a clear view of final work. All accounts have this tool. Team members make and manage the page. Clients see it in the portal.
What should you prepare first?
- Put the finished files in one folder inside the client account.
- Use smaller folders inside it when they help the client scan the work.
- Give files and folders clear names.
- Remove drafts or private notes that should not be delivered.
The page uses the live folder. It does not make a fixed copy. A later change to that folder can change what the client sees.
How do you create a Deliverable?
- Open the folder in Sydnee.
- Choose Turn into a Deliverable.
- Review the title and access message.
- Confirm the access change when asked.
- Choose Create Deliverable.
The page goes live right away. There is no client approval step. The main folder becomes View Only for clients. All folders inside it do too. Old Custom Access choices no longer apply to this folder tree.
Does publishing send an email?
No. The page shows in the portal as soon as you make it. Sydnee does not send an email by itself.
To email it, open the share action. Pick the active client contacts. Check the subject, message, and button text. You may also add a short list of file types. Send only when the note is ready.
Each contact still needs an active account and file access. Their email settings also apply. A sent note does not prove that each person got or read it.
What does the client see?
The client sees the page in the Files area. They may also see a recent work card on the portal home page. The card can show a title, date, file count, and small file views.
Clients can open each folder. They can preview a file when its type works in the viewer. They can download one file or a group of files. They cannot edit the folder. It is View Only.
Opening the page marks it as seen for that one person. The team can check or clear these views in its settings. If you clear a view, the page looks new to that person again. A seen mark only means the page was opened. It does not mean the work was read or approved.
How do you change a Deliverable?
Open its settings to change the title or date. The source folder stays live. A move or file change can change the page.
Use a new file version when you replace the same work. This keeps the old and new file in one version list.
How do you remove a Deliverable?
Choose Return to folder. This removes the client page. It does not delete the folder or its files.
The folder and all folders inside it become Hidden from clients. Open the folder settings. Pick the access you want before you share it again.
How do you fix a common problem?
The client did not get an email: going live and sending email are two steps. Use the share action. Check the contact and their email settings.
The client cannot edit files: this is normal. Final work is View Only.
The folder disappeared after Return to folder: returned folders are Hidden from clients. Set folder access again.
