Last week, we mentioned that our Trust Center was on the way. It's now live. This week also brings two-factor authentication requirements for your whole team, profile photo improvements, and a way to check which version of Sydnee you're using.
The Sydnee Trust Center is live
The new Sydnee Trust Center brings our security information together in one place. You can review security controls, see the services we use to run Sydnee, read answers to common questions, and follow security updates.
You can also request access to policies covering areas such as access control, data management, and incident response. Choose Request access in the Trust Center to get started.
If a client asks how Sydnee handles security, or your team is reviewing the tools it uses, you now have a place to start that conversation. You can share the Trust Center link and subscribe to updates there.
Require two-factor authentication for your team
Owners and admins can now require two-factor authentication for everyone in their workspace, including themselves. Each team member uses their own authenticator app to add a six-digit code to their sign-in.
Set up your own authenticator in Personal Settings → Security & access first, and save your backup codes somewhere safe. Then open Company Settings → Security and turn on Require two-factor authentication.
You can require setup immediately or give existing members 1, 2, or 7 days to enroll. The default is two days. After that deadline, members without two-factor authentication must set it up before continuing. New and returning members enroll before accessing the company.
The requirement takes effect after you save and confirm it with your password and an authenticator or backup code. It isn't switched on automatically for your workspace. This setting protects your team's access; clients continue using your portal's existing sign-in rules.
Set up two-factor authentication for yourself. Require it for your workspace.
Update your photo from your Team profile
You can now change, crop, or remove your photo directly from your own Team profile. We've also made profile photos and initials more consistent across Sydnee, Live Chat, and notification emails.
Comment mentions have a small fix, too: your own name no longer appears in your mention suggestions.
Check your app version from settings
There's a new App version section at the bottom of Personal Settings → Security & access. It shows the version and build running in your tab and lets you Check for updates.
If an update is available, save your work before selecting Update—the button reloads the tab. The version and build details are also useful to include when contacting support.
