Create a client account
Create the shared account where your team will manage one client relationship.
Create a client account when a client needs their own people, work, files, and portal space.
Before you start
- You need a team login to Sydnee.
- Choose a business name that your team and client will know.
- Your company plan must have room for another active account.
Create the account
- Open the Sydnee home page.
- Select New Account.
- In Create a New Account, enter the client's business name.
- Select Create Account.
Sydnee opens the new account when it is ready.
What Sydnee creates
Sydnee makes a unique Client URL from the business name. If that URL is already in use, Sydnee changes it to keep it unique.
The person who created the account gets access. The company owner also gets access. Team members with the company setting to join new accounts are added too.
Sydnee also prepares the account's starting defaults. This can include a default Task board, a To do section, a default Memo Pad, and the company's default Files folders.
Some default Files may finish copying after the account page opens.
What your client sees
Creating an account does not invite a client. A client cannot open it until you add their email in Portal access.
The client will later see the account name, account logo, and the modules and work available to them.
Fix a common problem
You see Upgrade Plan instead of New Account
Your company has reached its active account allowance. Open Company settings → Plans to review the plan, or archive an account you no longer use.
The account name is wrong
Open the account. Then open Account settings and change Account name.
The new account is not in your list
Clear any account-list search or filter. Then reload the home page. If another team member created it, ask them or the company owner to check your account access.
