Set Memo Pad defaults and update many accounts
Set the Memo Pad for future accounts or replace Memo Pad content across selected accounts.
Use the default when you want new client accounts to start with the same Memo Pad. Use a bulk update when you need to replace Memo Pad content on accounts that already exist.
These actions have different scopes.
Set the default for new accounts
Only a workspace owner or admin can change the default.
- Open Company Settings → Default Memo Pad.
- Edit the template.
- Select Save.
- Wait for Default memo pad saved!
The saved template is copied into accounts created later. It does not update any account that already exists.
To remove unsaved edits, select Discard before you save.
Replace Memo Pad content on many accounts
A bulk update can change the accounts you can access.
- Open the Client Portals home page.
- Open the arrow beside New Account.
- Select Bulk Update Memo Pads.
- Choose Update all accounts or Select accounts.
- If needed, search for and select the accounts.
- Enter the replacement content.
- Select Review.
- Read the warning and confirm the target.
- Select Update Memo Pads.
The content replaces the current Memo Pad on every target account. It is published to clients right away. A bulk update also makes the updated Memo Pads visible to clients.
It does not change each Memo Pad title. A new Memo Pad created by this action uses Memo Pad as its title.
Understand the result
The result page lists the updated accounts. Select an account to open its dashboard and check the Memo Pad.
For Update all accounts, Sydnee updates all accounts you can access. For Select accounts, it updates only selected accounts you can still access when the save runs.
If your access changed after selection, the result count can be smaller than the number you chose. The other accounts are skipped. The update fails without changing content if no accessible target remains.
What your client sees
Clients on updated accounts see the replacement content right away when Memo Pad is enabled in their dashboard. Existing content is overwritten; it is not added below the old content.
The default template has no effect on current clients until a new account is created from it.
Fix a common problem
The default did not update an existing account: this is expected. Edit that account's Memo Pad or use Bulk Update Memo Pads.
Bulk Update Memo Pads is missing: the action is in the options beside New Account on the Client Portals page. The current page may show Upgrade Plan instead when the workspace is at its account limit.
Fewer accounts were updated than selected: your account access may have changed. Review the result list and retry only the accounts you still need to change.
The old text is gone: bulk update replaces existing content. There is no merge step in this flow. Review the full replacement before you confirm.
