Unlike other platforms, Sydnee doesn’t charge per seat—bring your entire team and all your clients into a Slack-like chat experience designed for effortless collaboration. Stay connected, organized, and in sync without the hassle of external messaging tools.
What is Live Chat?
Live Chat is an integrated messaging feature designed to keep your communications organized within each account. Instead of relying on emails or third-party chat apps, you can now communicate seamlessly inside Sydnee.
Each account in your client portal has its own dedicated live chat room, where all team members and clients with access to the account can participate in conversations.
You get the pro view—a full chat experience with all your accounts in one place. We took a lot of inspiration from Slack – but each channel is one of your accounts with your clients in there!

Your clients see a simple chat bubble with pop-ups, keeping things easy and intuitive for them.

Per Account Notification Control

Customize how you receive notifications per account:
- Always stay informed
- Get notified only when mentioned
- Mute notifications when needed
Your clients will be able to do the same.
If you or one of your clients miss a message that falls under their notification setting, a single email reminder is sent after 1 minute. They won’t receive another email until they come back to catch up. This carefully crafted system prevents spamming your clients while still nudging them when there has been activity since
Prioritized Chat Organization
Sydnee allows up to 3,000 accounts which can be tough to handle all the live chats! We put some effort into trying to make this more manageable. Your accounts in the backend view are organized as follows:
- Pinned conversations for quick access
- Unread messages so you never miss important updates
- Muted / disabled chats to minimize distractions
Of course, you can disable the prioritization and just have the accounts sorted by alphabetical order too!
Who Can Use Live Chat?
- Team Members & Backend Users: Team members added to the account and backend users can access live chat from the power view at https://my.sydnee.app/chat
- Clients: Clients who have been granted access to the account can use live chat through a chat bubble available anywhere in their portal.
Disable Live Chat Globally or Per Account
Not everyone will need this feature and even if you do use it, not every account needs it either!
- Turn Off Live Chat for Your Entire Company – If you prefer to disable live chat across all accounts, you can do so in your company settings. Only the owner of the Sydnee team can change this option.
- Turn Off Live Chat for a Specific Account – If you want to disable chat for just one account, you can manage this in the chat settings.
