Review, export, complete, and archive requests
Review client progress, download responses, change status, and manage the Request archive.
Open View Responses to see what a client sent. You can also see what still needs an answer.
Review progress and answers
- Open Requests.
- Open the Request or choose View Responses from its actions.
- Use Form to review the current visible form.
- Use Timeline to review answer activity and Request events.
- Turn on Live Updates if you want new changes to appear without a full page refresh.
The Timeline lists the newest work first. It can show answer work. It can also show when the Request was sent, started, done, or put in the archive. It is not a full log of each old answer.
Fields hidden by a rule stay out of the Form and Timeline. A locked Short Text answer shows as dots. A team member must choose to show that field's answer.
Download responses or files
- Select Download PDF to export visible responses.
- Select Download Files when the Request has file uploads. Sydnee prepares a ZIP of the submitted files.
The PDF does not show locked Short Text answers. It prints a note in their place. The ZIP has uploaded files. It does not have each text answer.
How does a client complete a Request?
The client can mark the Request done once each shown required field has an answer. If the client answers each shown answer field other than Color, Sydnee marks the Request done on its own.
Hidden fields and Section headings do not block this step. A done Request moves to Completed Requests in the client portal.
Your team can also use Mark Complete after all shown required fields have answers. The Request owner is always on the completion-alert list.
When a client finishes the Request, the team members picked in the publish settings get email and in-app updates. When a team member uses Mark Complete, those people get an in-app update, but Sydnee does not send the client-completion email.
Reopen or return to draft
- On a completed Request, select Reopen to move it back to Published.
- On a published Request, select Return to Draft to remove client access while you edit it.
Returning to draft tells the team app that the client can no longer access the Request. Publish it again when it is ready.
Archive and restore
Select Archive to take a Request off the main team board. This does not change its Draft, Scheduled, Published, or Completed state.
While a Request is archived, Sydnee does not auto-publish it or send its automatic reminders. If you unarchive a Scheduled Request after its publish time has passed, Sydnee can publish it during the next scheduled check.
Open Requests → Archive to find old Requests. Open a Request's actions. Select Unarchive to put it back on the main board in its old state.
Do not use Archive to block a client. Use Return to Draft or make the Request private when client access must change.
Fix a common problem
If Mark Complete is off, answer each shown required field. If a PDF seems to miss an answer, check whether the field is hidden by a condition or is encrypted. If Download Files is missing, the Request has no saved file-upload answer.
