Create and use request templates
Save a reusable Request structure and use it to start client intake faster.
A Request template is a reusable starting point. It can hold fields, choices, help text, required settings, conditions, and intro copy.
Create a template
- Open Requests.
- Open Templates.
- Select New, then Create new template.
- Choose to build from scratch or with AI.
- For a blank template, enter a Template name and optional Description.
- Select Create Template.
- Add and arrange fields in the template editor.
You can also open an existing Request's actions and select Create Template. Sydnee copies its form structure and supported condition rules, but not its client responses.
Create a Request from a template
- Open Requests → Templates.
- Find a template under Favorites, Your Templates, or Global Templates.
- Select Preview to check it.
- Choose the action that starts a new Request from that template.
- Pick the client account and audience.
- Review the title, intro, fields, conditions, and required settings.
- Edit client-specific details before publishing.
You can also select Choose Template while creating a Request.
What changes after I use a template?
The new Request is a copy. Later template edits do not change a Request that was already created. Changes to that Request also do not change the template.
Copied form data includes field order, choices, descriptions, required settings, multiple-answer settings, and supported conditions. Client answers are never copied from a template or existing Request.
Manage team and global templates
Your team can preview, edit, rename, duplicate, favorite, and delete its own templates. Global Templates are Sydnee-provided starting points. Team members can preview and use them but cannot edit their global source.
Search looks at the template name and description. Sort by Last Updated, Name, or Date Created.
Why can't I find a template?
- Clear the template search.
- Check Your Templates, Favorites, and Global Templates.
- A team template may have been deleted.
- A global template may be in a different category.
- Make sure you are in the same workspace where the team template was created.
